Location
The navigation 20 electrical connector is located in the glove compartment.
The navigation 20 electrical connector is installed in two variants: As a docking station (in generation 1) or as a connecting cable (in generation 2). In the docking station variant, the glove compartment lamp (E13/1) is integrated into the navigation 20 electrical connector.

Task
Relaying signals
- Power supply from navigation 20 control unit (retrofit) (N125/2) for connected iPods or Universal Serial Bus (USB) devices
- Control and operating signals from the navigation 20 control unit for connected iPods or USB devices
- Audio signals and data from the portable terminals (iPod, USB or AUX) that are connected in each case via a direct line to the navigation 20 control unit
The AUX jack electrical connector (X39/45) (except code (518) Media interface) is not operational in vehicles with navigation 20.
The media interface electrical connector (X18/70) (with code (518) Media interface) is not operational in vehicles with navigation 20 up to 28.2.2011.
In vehicles with navigation 20 and code (518) Media interface, as of 1.3.2011, the navigation 20 electrical connector is installed as a USB connector in the glove compartment, but it is exclusively used for service purposes (software and map data update).
