Reason for change

Complaint:
When the liftgate reaches the upper end position, a single banging noise can clearly be heard.

This may be accompanied by a visible jerking movement in the vicinity of the left hinge.

Cause:
Unfavorable cutout point in the liftgate drive and the resulting sudden stress relief in the kinematics of the liftgate system.

Remedy:
1. Perform variant coding of liftgate control (HKS) control unit via Xentry Diagnostics (XD):

Xentry Diagnostics => HKS control unit => Adaptations => Configuration =>

Manual settings => Variant coding.

2. Perform normalization of liftgate control:

Xentry Diagnostics => HKS control unit => Adaptations => Teach-in processes

=> Denormalization and normalization of liftgate control.

Note:
The variant coding is available as of add-on 2068 for XD DVD 11/11 and/or as of XD DVD 01/12.
