Location
The electronic transmission-control control unit is located on the front passenger foot well plate.

Task

General
The electronic transmission-control control unit determines the current operating condition of the vehicle and controls all the gear change sequences, taking into account the shift comfort and driving situation.

Flash programming
The transmission control in the electronic transmission-control control unit is flashable i.e. the complete software in the control unit can be changed (replaced). The software required to program the control units is stored on the STAR DIAGNOSIS DAS Update DVD.

CAN data bus
The electronic transmission-control control unit is connected via the drive train CAN (CAN C) to the vehicle's CAN network, and exchanges data with other control units.
