Transmission Speed Sensor: Service and Repair

Removal
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Disconnect the Pulse Signal Generator (PSG) electrical connector located on the top of the transaxle.
3. Raise and support the vehicle.
4. Remove the LH outer splash shield.
5. Remove the PSG retaining bolt.
6. Remove the PSG from the transaxle.

Installation
1. Install the PSG into the transaxle case.
2. Install the PSG retaining bolt and tighten to 5-7 Nm (44-61 lb-in).
3. Install the LH outer splash shield.
4. Lower the vehicle.
5. Connect the PSG electrical connector.
6. Connect the negative battery terminal.
