Normal Operation
A 750 Hz variable warning tone is generated from a parking aid speaker. The parking aid speaker increases the warning tone rate as the vehicle gets closer to an obstacle.

DTC C1742 - sets when the parking aid module senses an open or short to ground on circuit 1437 (BK/PK) or 1438 (DG).

DTC C1743 - sets when the parking aid module senses a short to voltage on circuit 1438 (DG).

Possible Causes
- Circuit 1437 (BK/PK) open or short to ground
- Circuit 1438 (DG) open, short to ground or voltage
- Parking aid speaker
- Parking aid module
