Ignition Lock Replace

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. On models equipped with tilt column, remove upper extension shroud by detaching from retaining clip at 9 o'clock position.
3. On all models, remove both trim shroud halves.
4. Disconnect key warning switch electrical connector.
5. Turn ignition key to ``Run.'' Place gear shift lever in ``Park'' if equipped with column shift.
6. Insert a {1-8} inch diameter wire pin into hole in casting around lock cylinder. Remove lock cylinder while depressing retaining pin with wire.
7. Reverse procedure to install. Lock cylinder must be in ``Run'' and retaining pin depressed during installation. Following installation, turn the key to check for correct operation in all positions.
