Oil Change Interval Indicator Reset Switch Access Hole Location:

NOTE: The Vehicle Maintenance Monitor (VMM) must be reset every time that the engine oil is changed, whether or not the reminder is illuminated. If the reset procedure is not done, the VMM will indicate the need for an oil change prematurely.

1. Turn the ignition key to the ON position, but do not start the engine.
2. Within 15 seconds of turning the key to RUN, insert a straightened paper clip or similar tool through the reset hole in the VMM and press firmly. You will not be able to feel the reset switch operating.
3. The oil change indicator will begin flashing when the switch has been activated. Continue to hold down the reset switch until the display stops flashing. This should take about 4 seconds.

NOTE: If the procedure is not started within 15 seconds of turning the key to RUN, or if the switch is accidentally released before the indicator stops flashing, the key must be shut OFF, and the reset procedure restarted.
