A/C System - Manual

DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

Manual A/C Heater System:

The manual A/C-heater system is a split-case design, integral blower system and will control the temperature and reduce the relative humidity of air inside the vehicle. Two control levers are provided to adjust the desired temperature and system functions. The system will deliver heated or cooled air to maintain the vehicle interior temperature and comfort level. Blower speeds can be adjusted for more or less air as desired.

Manual A/C Heater Control Functions:

Manual control of the passenger compartment temperature may be maintained in all function control settings shown, except when the system is turned off. In hot weather, it will cool the vehicle to the comfort level and then cooling or heating can be adjusted to whatever is required to maintain the desired temperature. In cold weather, the system may be turned to the OFF position of the function lever to delay the operation of the system until engine coolant has warmed enough to minimize the discharge of cold air. When turned on, the system will then heat the vehicle to the desired temperature.

During system operation, outside air is drawn in from the cowl vent just below the windshield at all times, except during MAX-A/C cooling when recirculated air is used.
