Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect primary and secondary ignition wires from the ignition coil.
3. Remove the air duct from the Vane Air Flow (VAF) meter.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector.
5. Remove the retaining bolt and ground wire from the air cleaner cover.
6. Remove the air cleaner cover.
7. Remove the VAF meter retaining nuts from inside the air cleaner cover and remove meter.

INSTALLATION
1. Install the VAF meter gasket and position the VAF meter and install the mounting nuts.
2. Reconnect primary and secondary ignition wires to the ignition coil.
3. Position air cleaner cover and ground wire. Install retaining bolts.
4. Connect electrical connector to VAF meter.
5. Install air duct and secure with clamp.
6. Connect negative battery cable.
