Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Service and Repair

Vane Air Flow (VAF) Meter:






REMOVAL

1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect primary and secondary ignition wires from ignition coil.
3. Remove air duct from meter.
4. Disconnect electrical connector.
5. Remove retaining bolt and ground wire from air cleaner cover.
6. Remove air cleaner cover.
7. Remove meter retaining nuts from inside air cleaner cover and remove meter.

INSTALLATION

1. Install meter gasket. Position meter and install mounting nuts.
2. Reconnect coil primary and secondary ignition wires.
3. Position air cleaner cover and ground wire. Install retaining bolts.
4. Connect electrical connector meter.
5. Install air duct and secure with clamp.
6. Connect negative battery cable.
