Wiper Switch: Service and Repair

The switch handle is an integral part of the switch and cannot be removed separately.

1. On models equipped with airbag, disarm airbag system as described under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG SYSTEM DISARMING.
2. Disconnect battery ground cable.
3. Insert a small screwdriver into small slot on top of switch bezel.
4. While pushing down on screwdriver, work top part of switch bezel away from instrument panel.
5. Insert small screwdriver into small slot on bottom of switch bezel.
6. While pushing up on screwdriver, work bottom part of switch bezel away from instrument panel.
7. Remove switch from instrument panel, then remove connector.
8. Reverse procedure to install.
9. On models equipped with airbag, rearm airbag system as described under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG SYSTEM DISARMING.
