Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect negative battery cable.

2. Drain radiator.

3. Disconnect Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor electrical connector.

4. Using a suitable wrench, remove sensor.

INSTALLATION

Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor:






1. Install sensor with new washer. Tighten to 18 - 22 ft lb (25 - 29 Nm).

2. Connect ECT sensor electrical connector.

3. Refill cooling system.

4. Connect negative battery cable.
