Removal and Replacement




REMOVAL

Component Location:





NOTE: The Electronic Control Assembly (ECA) is located on the floor tunnel ahead of the floor console. The ECA power and fuel pump relays are mounted on the ECA bracket.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the floor console assembly and console side panels.
3. Remove the harness connector from the ECA.
4. Remove the ECA power and fuel pump relays from the ECA bracket.
5. Remove the plastic duct and pad from the top of the ECA bracket.
6. Remove the three ECA bracket attaching bolts and loosen the one retaining nut.
7. Remove the ECA and bracket assembly from the vehicle floor tunnel.
8. Remove the ECA from the bracket by sliding it straight out.


INSTALLATION


1. Position the ECA inside the ECA bracket.
2. Position the ECA and bracket assembly on the vehicle floor tunnel.
3. Install the three attaching bolts and retaining nut.
4. Install the plastic duct and pad on top of the ECA bracket.
5. Install the ECA power and fuel pump relays on the ECA bracket.
6. Connect the harness connector to the ECA.
7. Install the floor console side panels and floor console assembly.
8. Connect the negative battery cable.
