Crankshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair





REMOVAL

Crankshaft Position Sensor (AT Only):





1. Turn the ignition key to OFF.
2. Raise the vehicle.
3. Remove the right side splash shield.
4. Disconnect the sensor electrical connector from the wiring harness.
5. Remove the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor mounting screws and remove the sensor.


INSTALLATION

1. Position the sensor on the oil pump housing.
2. Install the two sensor attaching screws supplied with the part and tighten to 40-61 in lb (5-7 Nm).
3. Correctly route the sensor wiring harness and install the electrical connector.
4. Install the right side splash shield.
5. Lower the vehicle.
