TP3 Check TP Sensor

- Key OFF.

- Disconnect the throttle position sensor connector.

- Measure the resistance between the TP and SIGRTN terminals at the throttle position sensor and compare to the table below.

Accelerator Pedal Resistance kohms
Completely released 1
Partially released 1-10
Completely depressed Approximately. 10

- Are the resistances OK?

YES -- GO to TP4. TP4 Check TP and SIG Wires to PCM

NO -- REPLACE the throttle position sensor.
