Fillpipe Restrictor: Service and Repair

NOTE
The fillpipe restrictor is an integral part of the [1][2]fuel filler neck and must be serviced as a unit.

REMOVAL
1. Use Rotunda Fuel Storage Tanker 034-00002 or 034-00014 and Fuel Storage Tanker Adapter Hose 034-00012. or equivalents, to siphon the fuel from the fuel tank. Use the Rotunda Fuel Storage Tanker to siphon the fuel from the filler neck hose first. This will drain the fuel to a lower level allowing access to the tank through the vapor separator hose attachment. A check valve is located at the lower end of the [1][2]fuel filler neck and will not allow the hose to pass through to the tank.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.

Fuel Tank Removal And Installation:

3. Loosen the vapor separator hose clamp.

NOTE: A small amount of fuel may spill when this hose is removed. Be prepared to catch this fuel in a suitable container.

4. Place a suitable container under the vapor separator hose and then remove the vapor separator hose at the filler neck assembly.
5. Drain any remaining fuel in the vapor separator hose into a suitable container.
6. Remove the vapor separator hose from the fuel tank.
7. Attach the Rotunda Fuel Storage Tanker Adapter Hose 034-00015 to the Rotunda Fuel Storage Tanker 034-00002 or 034-00014 (or equivalent). Insert the entire length of the 1/4" hose through the opening in the fuel tank. Be sure to insert the hose far enough into the tank to allow the end of the hose to reach the bottom of the fuel tank. Follow the tool manufacturer's operating instructions.
8. Disconnect the Rotunda Fuel Storage Tanker from the vent opening in the fuel tank. Ensure fuel in the siphon hose drains either into the fuel tank or into the Rotunda Fuel Storage Tanker.
9. Remove the three [1][2]fuel filler neck protector bolts and the fuel filler neck protector.
10. Loosen the [1][2]fuel filler neck hose clamp and slide the clamp toward the fuel tank.
11. Separate the fuel filler hose from the [1][2]fuel filler neck assembly.

12. Remove the two [1][2]fuel filler neck assembly bolts.

NOTE: Unseat the [1][2]fuel filler neck assembly gasket by carefully pulling the fuel filler neck assembly.
13. Remove the [1][2]fuel filler neck assembly from the vehicle.
