KE31 - Check For Vacuum Leaks at Idle

- Key "ON", engine running.

- With engine at idle, listen for a vacuum leak.

- Inspect Idle Air Control (IAC) valve assembly, throttle body, Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve, vacuum hoses, and other intake connections for leaks or loose connection.

- Is a fault indicated?

Yes -- Service as necessary. Clear Keep Alive Memory. Clearing Keep Alive Memory (KAM) and Relearn Procedure

Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)

No -- Go to KE32.
