KM61 - Check A/C Relay

A/C Relay:

- Key "OFF".

- A/C relay disconnected.

- Check A/C relay coil resistance:

- Measure resistance between A/C ON pin and IGN RUN pin at the A/C relay.

- Resistance should be between 50 and 100 ohms.

- Check A/C relay for internal shorts:

- Measure resistance between A/C ON pin and the following pins at the A/C relay: B+, power-to-clutch, ground.

- Resistances should be greater than 10,000 ohms.

- Are all resistance checks OK?

Yes -- Go to KM62. KM62 - Check A/C ON Circuit For Short to Power

No -- Replace A/C relay. Reconnect all components. Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)
