TB5 - Check Harness Circuit(s) For Short to Ground
- Key "OFF".
- Breakout box installed, Powertrain Control Module (PCM) disconnected.
- For 4x4 Low circuit:
- Disconnect 4x4 Low switch. Inspect both ends of the connector for damaged or pushed out pins, moisture, corrosion, loose wires, etc. Service as necessary.
- Measure resistance between test pin 12 and test pin 40/60 at the breakout box.
- For Transmission Control circuits:
- Disconnect Transmission Control Switch. Inspect both ends of the connector for damaged or pushed out pins, moisture, corrosion, loose wires, etc. Service as necessary.
- Measure resistance between test pin 41 and test pin 40/60 at the breakout box.
- Measure resistance between test pin 55 and test pin 40/60 at the breakout box.
- Is each resistance greater than 10,000 ohms?
