EVAP 6 - Check Canister Purge Solenoid Stuck Open

Canister Purge Solenoid:

^ Disconnect the Canister Purge (CANP) solenoid.

^ Apply 53 kPa (16 in Hg) of vacuum to the manifold side of the CANP solenoid with a vacuum pump.

^ Does the solenoid hold vacuum?

YES -- Go to EVAP 7. EVAP 7 - Check For Canister Purge Solenoid Stuck Closed

NO -- Replace CANP solenoid. If driveability symptom is still present, return to diagnostic routines. SEE Powertrain Management / Testing and Inspection / Diagnostic Routines.
