Method 1 *
Step 1: Hand-tighten until the gasket contacts the sealing surface.
Step 2: Turn it an additional 1/2 turn.

Method 2 *
Tighten to 10-15 Nm (7-11 ft. lbs.).

* Coat the sealing gasket with clean engine oil before installation.
