Cruise Control Servo Cable: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Remove screw retaining speed control actuator cable to accelerator cable bracket.
2. Disconnect speed control actuator cable from throttle lever arm by pulling up and off of nailhead.
3. Remove speed control servo.
4. Slide speed control actuator cable from engine compartment through fender apron hole and remove speed control cable from vehicle.

INSTALLATION
1. Install speed control servo.
2. Reroute speed control cable, through hole in fender apron.
3. Place speed control cable on accelerator cable bracket and install screw. Tighten to 5.2-7.2 N.m (46-63 lb-in).
4. Snap speed control cable fitting onto throttle lever arm.
5. Check speed control cable adjustment.

NOTE: Incorrect wrapping of speed control cable core wire around speed control servo pulley may result in high idle condition. Ensure that throttle lever is at idle position after cable installation and adjustment.
