Rear

The rear wheel assembly has the following characteristics:
^ Each rear wheel is bolted to a rear hub.
^ There are two opposed and tapered roller rear wheel bearings (inner and outer) with grease retainer seals (inner and outer), encased in one single cup or cartridge.
^ This rear wheel bearing is pressed into the rear wheel knuckle bore from the inboard side until it rests against the shoulder on the outboard side.
^ A snap ring is installed in a groove on the inboard side of the knuckle bore for added bearing retention.
^ A bearing dust seal is installed on the CV joint, inboard of the rear wheel knuckle, rear wheel bearing and rear hub.
^ The rear hub is pressed into the rear wheel knuckle assembly.
^ The CV joint is pressed through the rear hub in the rear wheel knuckle assembly.
^ A rear axle wheel hub retainer attaches the rear hub to the CV joint.
