Steering Control Module: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Turn ignition switch to the OFF or LOCK position.
2. Locate module on A/C evaporator housing behind glove compartment.
3. Remove two screws and power steering variable assist control and bracket from A/C evaporative housing.
4. Disconnect wiring harness connector from power steering variable assist control and bracket.

INSTALLATION
1. Connect harness connector to power steering variable assist control and bracket.
2. Install two screws and power steering variable assist control and bracket onto evaporative case.
3. Tighten screws to 1-2 Nm (9-17 inch lbs.).
