Cruise Control Servo Cable: Service and Repair

REMOVAL







1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.







2. Disconnect the (A) speed control actuator cable from the (B) throttle control lever and remove the (C) bolt from the (D) bracket.







3. Remove the speed control actuator cable retaining clip.







4. Remove the speed control actuator cable cap.
1 Depress the speed control actuator cable cap retaining tab.
2 Rotate the speed control actuator cable cap counter clockwise.







5. Slide the (A) speed control actuator cable end from the (B) speed control actuator cable groove, and remove the speed control actuator cable.







INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE: When the battery is disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 miles) or more to relearn the strategy.
