REMOVAL
1. Open liftgate.
2. Remove liftgate inside trim panel.
3. Disconnect anti-theft switch connector.
4. Unsnap and release liftgate latch release rod from rear license plate housing and bracket.
5. Pry out and remove two push-pin retainers and remove liftgate latch cover.
6. Remove three retaining screws and remove luggage compartment door latch from liftgate.
7. Transfer liftgate latch release rod to new luggage compartment door latch.

INSTALLATION
1. Follow removal procedure in reverse order.
2. Tighten liftgate latch retaining screws to 10-14 Nm (89-123 lb-in).
