Rear Door Window Regulator

Removal

Window Regulator, Rear:

1. Remove rear door trim panel and watershield. Doors
2. Remove rear door window glass as outlined.
3. Remove four rivets attaching regulator mounting plate assembly to rear door inner panel.
4. Slide regulator arm plastic guides out of rear door glass channel front bracket C-channel and disconnect window regulator electric drive connector.

Note: Use access hole in rear door inner panel for removal and installation.

5. Remove rear door electric window regulator from rear door.
6. Remove bolts retaining window regulator electric drive to rear door electric window regulator and remove window regulator electric drive.

Installation

1. Install window regulator electric drive to rear door electric window regulator.
2. Install rear door electric window regulator through the access hole in the rear door. Slide regulator arm plastic guides into rear door glass channel front bracket C-channel.
3. Install rivets using Heavy Duty Riveter D80L-23200-A or equivalent or 1/4-20 x 1/2-inch screw and washer assemblies and 1/4-20 nut and washer assemblies to secure regulator mounting plate to door inner panel. Equivalent metric retainers may be used.
4. Connect window regulator electric drive connector.
5. Cycle rear door window glass to check for smooth operation.
6. Install watershield and rear door trim panel.
