Fuel Pressure Sensor/Switch: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Battery.
2. Relieve the fuel system pressure.
3. Disconnect the fuel line from the IPR.







4. Disconnect the IPR electrical connector and the vacuum tube.







5. Remove the IPR.
^ Remove the bolts.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE:
^ Before installing the IPR, inspect and lubricate the O-ring seal with clean Super Premium SAE 5W-30 motor oil XO-5W30-QSP or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSS-M3C153-G.
^ Hand-tighten the bolts before applying the final torque.
