Alternator: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Battery. Battery Disconnect
2. Remove the accessory drive belt from the generator. For additional information, refer to Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories.







3. Remove the generator electrical connectors.
1 Remove B+ nut.
2 Remove the stator and voltage regulator connectors.







4. Remove the generator mounting bolts and remove the generator.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse removal procedure.
