Test BA1-BA3:

Test BA4-BA7:

Normal Operation
The rear only parking aid system is enabled when the vehicle ignition is in RUN and transmission is in REVERSE. For a front and rear system the front and rear sensors will always be active when the transmission is in REVERSE with the vehicle ignition in RUN. When the transmission is in DRIVE the front sensors will be active if the vehicle speed is above 0 km/h and below 8 km/h (5 mph). The parking aid module calculates the distance to an object by the use of 4 ultrasonic sensors mounted in the rear bumper. The parking aid sensors can detect objects approximately 1.8 m (5.9 ft.) to the rear of the vehicle, 50 cm (1.6 ft.) to the rear side of the vehicle, and 16 cm (6 in) above ground.

Possible Causes
- parking aid sensor
- parking aid module
