Test J
PINPOINT TEST J: THE LOW FUEL WARNING INDICATOR IS NEVER/ALWAYS ONTest J1-J2:
Normal Operation
Typically, the low fuel indicator is on when the fuel level reaches a predetermined level of approximately 1/8 tank. The low fuel level warning indicator and fuel gauge are controlled by the instrument cluster based upon the fuel level data provided by the SJB. When the instrument cluster receives data from the SJB that indicates the fuel level has reached the preset low fuel level, the fuel gauge will indicate low fuel and the instrument cluster will illuminate the low fuel warning indicator. A correctly functioning fuel gauge indicates that the fuel pump modules, the circuitry to the SJB and the SJB are operating correctly.
