Normal Operation
The low tire warning system is designed to detect a significant loss of inflation in any of the vehicle tires. The system uses the ABS wheel speed sensor to detect a change in wheel speed due to tire deflation. When a tire loses air the low warning tire system detects the change and sends the instrument cluster a message over the SCP communication network circuits 914 (TN/OG) and 915 (PK/LB) to illuminate the low tire warning display.
