PINPOINT TEST I: THE TURN SIGNAL LAMPS ARE INOPERATIVE

Test I1-I2:

Test I2-I5:

Test I5-I6:

Normal Operation
The SJB sends out voltage reference signals through circuits 1393 (LB/RD) and 1392 (LG/OG) to the multifunction switch for the LH and RH turn signal inputs, respectively. The return signal is carried through circuit 2068 (BK/LB) (shared with the low/high beam return signal circuit) back to the SJB. When the multifunction switch is placed in the LH or RH turn positions, the voltage signal sent by the SJB is routed to circuit 2068 (BK/LB). When the SJB detects the multifunction switch in the LH or RH turn positions, the SJB controls the supply voltage to the respective turn lamps which then flash approximately 80 times per minute.

Possible Causes
- circuit 1392 (LG/OG) open or short to power
- circuit 1393 (LB/RD) open or short to power
- multifunction switch
- SJB
