SMART JUNCTION BOX (SJB)REMOVAL
1. CAUTION:
- Prior to the removal of the module, it is necessary to upload module configuration information to the appropriate diagnostic equipment. This information needs to be downloaded into the new module once installed.
- Electronic modules are sensitive to static electrical charges. If exposed to these charges, damage may result.
Disconnect the battery.
2. Remove the LH dash closeout panel.
3. Remove the parts in the order indicated in the illustration and table.
Item 4: Smart Junction Box (SJB) Removal Note
1. Position the SJB forward to allow access to the wiring harness connectors on the rear face of the SJB.
INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Item 4: Smart Junction Box (SJB) Installation Note
1. Once the SJB is installed, it is necessary to download the module configuration information from the diagnostic tool into the new module.
Item 7: Smart Junction Box (SJB) Installation Note
1. Make sure the coaxial connector is connected, or the remote keyless entry (RKE) system will experience diminished range.
