Front Subframe Mount: Service and Repair
SUBFRAME BUSHINGS
Removal
1. Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to Vehicle Jacking and Lifting.
2. Remove the tire and wheel assemblies.
3. Support the subframe using a suitable support.
4. Loosen all 4 subframe mount bolts.
5. Remove the subframe mount bolt and washer from the worn or damaged subframe bushing.
6. Remove the subframe bushing and body mount.
Installation
1. CAUTION: Make sure the subframe bushing split line is facing forward before installation.
NOTE: The subframe bushing, body mount, bolt and washer are installed as a kit. Apply general purpose grease to the subframe bushing and press in to the subframe.
2. Position the body mount between the subframe and vehicle body.
3. Install the subframe mount bolt and washer through the subframe bushing and body mount.
- Tighten all to 175 Nm (129 lb-ft).
4. Install the front tire and wheel assemblies.
5. Lower the vehicle.
