Removal and Installation
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Maintenance/Service and Repair.
2. Drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to Cooling System.
3. Remove and discard the oil filter.
^ To install, tighten to 13 Nm (10 lb-ft).
4. Disconnect the oil cooler inlet hose from the oil cooler.
5. Disconnect the heater hose from the oil cooler.
6. Loosen the threaded insert and remove the oil cooler.
^ To install, tighten to 57 Nm (42 lb-ft).
7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
^ Install a new oil filter.
^ Check the engine oil and fill as necessary.
