Antenna

All vehicles utilize a fixed-mast antenna, located at the RF fender, for AM/FM reception. The AM/FM antenna cable connects the AM/FM antenna to the Audio Control Module (ACM) through an in-line connector located behind the RH kick-panel.

If the vehicle is equipped with satellite audio, the satellite radio antenna is located on the roof panel.

Satellite Radio - Early Build Vehicles Without Navigation

The satellite audio system is comprised of the following:

- Satellite Digital Audio Receiver System (SDARS) module (located under the passenger front seat)
- Satellite radio antenna (located at the RH front of the roof)
- Satellite radio antenna cable (located behind the instrument panel and the RH A-pillar trim panel)

Satellite Radio - Early Build Vehicles With Navigation, All Late Build Vehicles

The satellite audio system is comprised of the following:

- ACM (satellite receiver is built-in)
- Satellite radio antenna, mounted at the RH front of the roof (vehicles without navigation)
- Combination Global Positioning System (GPS)/satellite radio antenna, located at the RH front of the roof (navigation only)
- Satellite radio antenna cable (located behind the instrument panel and the RH A-pillar trim panel)

Front Display Interface Module (FDIM)

The Front Display Interface Module (FDIM), located at the top center of the instrument panel, displays the following information:

- Audio system information
- For all ACM except navigation.

- Compass heading (if equipped)
- Outside air temperature (if equipped)
- Climate control information
- For the HVAC module - Electronic Automatic Temperature Control (EATC) only.

Front Controls Interface Module (FCIM) - Vehicles Without Navigation Only

The Front Controls Interface Module (FCIM) acts as the customer interface with the ACM. It resembles a faceplate, and is standard on all audio systems except navigation.

Navigation System

The navigation system consists of the following:

- Navigation ACM
- Combination GPS/satellite radio antenna (located at the RH front of the roof)
- FDIM
- Microphone (located in the auto-dimming interior mirror)

The ACM controls the operation of the navigation system and the audio system. The system uses a GPS antenna, a vehicle speed input, and other sensor information to accurately establish the vehicle position. The FDIM displays the navigation screen.

The SYNC system is a hands-free communications and entertainment system that allows the following interactions:

- Send and receive phone calls via a Bluetooth-enabled phone
- Send and receive text messages via a Bluetooth-enabled phone
- Connect media devices (such as an iPod(R) or USB flash device) in order to play audio files
- Play media files via a Bluetooth-enabled audio device

Not all features are available with every phone.
