EGR Tube: Service and Repair

Exhaust Manifold to Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve Tube

Removal

All-Wheel Drive (AWD) vehicles

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Vehicle Jacking and Lifting.

All vehicles

2. Disconnect the exhaust manifold-to-EGR valve tube fitting from the EGR valve.

3. Disconnect the exhaust manifold-to-EGR valve tube fitting from the exhaust manifold.

4. Remove the exhaust manifold-to-EGR valve tube.

Installation

1. Install the exhaust manifold-to-EGR valve tube.

2. Hand start the exhaust manifold-to-EGR valve tube fitting to the exhaust manifold.

3. Hand start the exhaust manifold-to-EGR valve tube fitting to the EGR valve.

4. Tighten the exhaust manifold-to-EGR valve tube fittings to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
