Camshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

Replacing Pulse Generator On Camshaft


NOTE: Read out fault memory of EMS2000 control module, check stored fault memory, rectify faults, clear fault memory.


Turn off ignition.
Remove left engine support arm.







Disconnect camshaft sensor connector.
Remove retaining bolt (1) and camshaft sensor (2).

Install hint:
Lubricate sealing ring with a small film of new engine oil.
Tightening torque: Pulse Generator, sensor to cyl. head 9 Nm
