Removing and Installing/ Replacing Control Unit/ Receiver For Radio Remote Control (Up to 07/2004)


NOTE:
For Production Date 07/2004 on: the control unit for radio remote control is integrated in the interior rearview mirror, for more information please refer to: Removing and Installing or Replacing Interior Rearview Mirror

Necessary Preliminary Tasks:
- Remove clock, Service and Repair.
- Remove interior rearview mirror, Removing and Installing or Replacing Interior Rearview Mirror.
- Remove counter-supports for sun visor on left and right, Removing and Installing or Replacing Sun Visor and Left or Right Counter Support.

Important!
Cover instrument panel trim in order to prevent screws or threaded blind rivets from dropping into air ducts.







Release threaded blind rivet (1).


NOTE:
As from 09/2001 threaded blind rivet (2) is replaced by a retaining clip (3).







Release Torx screw (1).
Release threaded blind rivet (2)/ retaining clip (3).

Installation:
- Replace threaded blind rivet (2) with retaining clip (3).
