Adjusting Glass Slide/Tilt Sunroof Panel



54 12 003 Adjusting Glass Slide/Tilt Sunroof Panel

Special tools required:
- 00 9 315
- 00 9 341

Close slide/tilt sunroof panel (zero position).

Note:
- Prerequisite:
- Adjust glass sunroof correctly.
- Adjust slide/tilt sunroof if necessary.







Ideal adjustment:
- Distance:
- Distance (A) between visor and roof at front and glass panel at rear must be the same.
- Insert special tool 00 9 341 between seal and sunroof visor (it must be possible to move special tool against same resistance)

- Height:
- Front-flush to 0.5 mm deeper
- Rear-flush to 1 mm higher

Adjustment of glass slide/tilt sunroof panel:







Note: For purposes of clarity, picture shows glass panel opened (glass panel remains in zero position).

Important: Do not contaminate the roof liner with the grease on the rail ends.

Release roller blind from guides; to do so, turn rail (1) in direction of arrow.
Retract roller blind as far as possible and allow rail to hang through sunroof opening.







Open slide/tilt sunroof panel until all screws (1) of glass panel (2) are accessible.
Carry out the following step on one side first and then the other (first left, then right or vice versa):
- Slacken Torx screws TX 20 (1) on left/right so that glass panel (2) can still just be moved.
- Move glass panel (2) as required
- Tighten down screws

2AZ Mountings, front and middle
M6 x 15 5 Nm.

- Repeat procedure on other side.







Distance setting:
Check distance (A) with special tool 00 9 341.
Move glass panel forward or back until ideal position is reached.







Height adjustment:
Check height of glass panel (1) in relation to body (2) with special tool 00 9 315.
Press glass panel at front and rear towards top or bottom until ideal position is reached.

Installation:
Make sure all screws are tightened down.

Check function and adjustment.
