Water Pump: Service and Repair

11 51 000 - Removing and installing or replacing water pump





Special tools required:
- 11 8 401 11 8 400 Extensions
- 11 8 402 11 8 400 Extensions

Turn off ignition

Disconnect battery Instructions for Disconnecting and Connecting Battery.

Drain coolant Service and Repair.

Remove alternator Service and Repair.

Lower front end module.





Remove screws (1) from impact tubes.

Remove screws (2) securing impact tubes to chassis subframe and remove impact tubes.

Tightening torque, 31 11 5AZ [1][2]Specifications.





Attach special tools 11 8 401 11 8 400 Extensions and 11 8 402 11 8 400 Extensions.





Detach hoses (1) from water pump.

Release mountings or remove screws (2).

Remove water pump (3).

Tightening torque, 11 51 1AZ [1][2]11 51 Water Pump and Drive.
