Instrument Clusters
Instrument Cluster
The Instrument cluster is a vital part of the Driver Information System. It keeps the driver informed as to the status of the engine and vehicle systems. There are two cluster levels, basic and high. Most instrument clusters are sealed units and contain no serviceable components other than backlight bulbs.
Basic Cluster (KOMBI)
High Cluster (IKE)
Instrument Cluster Self Test Functions
In addition to the Diagnosis Program, the instrument clusters contain their own internal self test that can be accessed to check various functions and values. The test functions are displayed in the mileage LCD block. There are a total of 21 possible test functions.
