SITUATION
The airbag warning lamp illuminates intermittently. Fault code 55 (Emergency call function) is stored in the MRS5 (Multiple Restraint System) module.
CAUSE
Wiring to pin 54 of MRS5 or faulty MRS5 control module (Internal component (varistor) fault)
CORRECTION
Check for possible shorts to pin 54 of the MRS5 module.
Tf no shorts are found, replace the MRS5 control module.
