Service Engine Soon Light Is On with Fault 2F07 Stored

MODEL
R56 with N12 and N14 engines produced up to 6/4/2007

Only vehicles at an integration level of R056-07-03-525 or less are affected.

SITUATION
The Service Engine Soon light is on with the following fault is stored in fault memory:

2F07 - Map Thermostat mechanism, stuck open

The engine cooling system is operating normally.

CAUSE
DME software diagnostic sensitivity

CORRECTION
On a customer complaint basis only, reprogram the vehicle using only Progman V26.00.00 or higher.

Covered under the terms of the MINI New Vehicle Limited Warranty.

Please refer to the latest KSD for all applicable labor operations and allowances.

If the appropriate labor operation is not contained in KSD, then a work time labor operation should be used.
