Oil Pressure Sensor: Service and Repair

Removing And Installing Or Replacing Oil Pressure Switch

Turn off ignition.


WARNING!
Scalding hazard.


Only perform this task on an engine that has cooled down.
Release oil filter cap, to allow engine oil to return to the oil pan.
Tighten oil filter cap.
Tightening torque: 30 Nm







Remove right hand front road wheel.
Remove connector (1) and remove sensor (2).
Tightening torque: 20 Nm.







If the oil pressure sensor is to be re-used coat threads as shown with sealer.
Check engine oil level.
