Hood: Adjustments

41 61 014 - Aligning hood lid





Note:
The gap dimensions serve as the basis for adjustment work.
Moving the hinges later on makes unpainted surfaces visible. Touch these up in the appropriate color.
Do not damage adjoining body parts.





Adjustment points for adjusting engine hood to fit.





Slacken screws on engine hood.
Adjust engine hood to fit according to specified gap dimension.
Tighten screws after adjustment.





If necessary, slacken screws of lock on engine carrier.
Adjust lock and tighten screws.
When engine bonnet/hood is being closed, bracket on engine bonnet/hood must not touch or brush against lock. Look out for scratches.
