Repair instructions for the software version of the CVM

Complaint
The customer indicates that after a trip with the completely opened convertible top, the convertible top cannot be closed from the completely opened position.

Cause
The status of Hall sensor 2 might change, as the sunroof section of the convertible top shifts during a trip with the completely opened convertible top.

Repair instruction
On vehicles with date of manufacture before 1 September 2004, the Convertible top module (CVM) must be replaced. This part is programmed with software version SW 25 (2.5) or higher.
This software causes the position of Hall sensor 2 to be ignored during the closing action.

Series solution
On vehicles with date of manufacture after 1 September 2004, a Convertible top module with software version SW 25 (2.5) or higher is fitted.
