00 11 229 - Oil change in manual transmission





Note:
Transmission is at normal operation temperature.
Transmission oil,
refer to BMW Operating Fluids, filling capacity.
Refer to Technical Data Transmission, General: R50, R52.
Replace sealing rings on drain and filler/fill level monitoring plugs.





Unscrew oil drain plug (1) and allow oil to flow out completely.
Clean oil drain plug and reinstall.
Tightening torque 23 00 1AZ Transmission in General.
Unscrew filler/fill level monitoring plug (2) and fill transmission until oil overflows. Allow excess oil to drain and reinstall filler/fill level monitoring plug.
Tightening torque 23 00 1AZ Transmission in General.
