CVT Transmission Ratio Step-Up Actuator
CVT Transmission Ratio Step-up Actuator
Function
The step-up ratio of the CVT transmission is controlled in all transmission modes by a servomotor. For this purpose, the DME engine control module transmits a signal to the GIB (Transmission Interface Box) to inform it of the desired position of the primary belt pulley. The GIB processes the instruction and controls the movement of the motor by means of the hydraulic control module accordingly.
Installation Location
The motor is located on the primary valve in the transmission valve bank and is connected to the main wiring harness by way of a circular connector.
